'08 Uplander quit!
Driving home from 30 miles away, the Uplander up and quit on me! It was running just fine, and simply died and would not restart. We had it towed home via AAA, put the battery charger on it, and the gauges in the car and the gauge on the battery charger all went bonkers! It started, ran a lick and quit this morning and repeated that four times. Would not stay running.. Fuel rail pressure seems OK, and I get that little hum from the pump so it isn't starving out.
I just don't know what it is this time. In the past, the battery has been known to drain overnight, so we put a battery brake in and turned off the battery overnight. That worked until we had a repair made and reset the computer. Also had a complete tune-up done about 15K ago. The computer readouts continued: Check this, check that, service this and that, usually five to eight of these. One more recently says "Charging system disabled." It's running on the original key, but I now have a spare. It's a cargo van with 151K on it.. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

That was the first thing we did. I'm thinking to disconnect the battery for a few hours and then hook it up and try again.
Steve just had an idea: Do you think that unhooking the charger and jumping it off my truck would work?
