Default DVD Entertainment System

I have a Saturn Relay clone of the Chevrolet Uplander. When the DVD Entertainment System quit working years ago, I got a replacement from a junk yard which worked fine for a few years. Now the replacement DVD player will not eject or play the disk and has failed to respond to any buttons or the remote. I am now unable to find a functioning replacement DVD player at a junkyard. I want to know what others have done to get their unit repaired. Cost is a concern. I have young grandchildren, so the DVD system is very useful.

we never had any electronic entertainment growing up. It'll be good screen-free time for them.

Although I agree with your statement, you have made assumptions which are not true in our case. My grandchildren have NO screen time in their home because their parents do not allow that influence in their lives. As we travel between Missouri and Colorado, they enjoy very limited, parent-approved DVDs which help the trips pass more quickly. Not all children are constantly in front of a screen.
