ELM 327 Interface
I just bought this OBD reader and download the apps, it works to other vehicles to name a few like ford fiesta, 2004 honda civic. But when i try to 2006 Uplander the response is nothing...any thought or advice will greatly appreciated..

If you don't have another one, go to AutoZone or similar and have them try to read your codes.
The Elm327 is bluetooth...can you at least tell if it is powering up in the Uplander?

Thanks for response guys...My uplander has only 4 pins connected and has power on one of the pins. Communications from ELM 327 is the problem..Maybe this ELM thing is not compatible to my Uplander.
I took a second look at your photo. that is a 16 pin dlc but I did not recognize it from the back side. all the pin out will not be filled. you can see the pin numbers cast in plastic. You will have pins 16 which power the scan tool. grd will be provided from pins 4 and 5. depending of the communication protocol that the vehicle uses will determine which pins are used for data transfer.
I am not sure if the 06 uses CAN BUS communication. If may be class 2

Thanks Tech 2 for response...i just insert the OBDII (the real meter that you can buy at any auto stores) in there and it reads lot of information. I dont know why only 4 wires on it. Just want to share that ELM 327 with bluetooth is not compatible with my 06.
