Default Iridium Vs. Platinum

Which spark plugs is best for Uplander 2006 (Iridium or Platinum). If the idling is normal, How can you tell if you need to replace these parts?

I'd use the AA Delco 41-101 plug at 100,000 miles as recommended.

I believe that 41-101 is what came in the vehicle from the factory. What plug number is recommended in the owner's manual? Call your local GM dealer parts dept. and ask what they use as original equipment replacement.

Also, regular grade gas is what is recommended. Anything more would likely be a waste of money.

The factory platinum plugs gave me 100,000 miles and when they were changed, they looked almost as good as the new ones. Why mess with success?

Thanks for the 2 guys out there for giving their own experienced and their opinion about spark plugs...(PPB and OC). I also read on page 6 about the discussion on SP and the manual says 41-101 for 3.5 engines is recomended.

Well said and pretty much sums it all up...
For What Its Worth... my 07 Tahoe uses the exact same factory spark plug that is used in the Corvette...
