How many miles on the van?

Did the noise start out quiet and get louder or did it just show up one day?

i had a bad sway bar end link replaced on my 2007 under warranty.

Get someone to rock the van and see what's clunking

Default front end rattle

It has 59 000 km on it.It seems to have the rattle when traveling over rough surfaces.I just bought it so I don't know if it was there from new.

We had a front end rattle on our Uplander and it turned out to be the brake pads...they were rattling in the calipers. New brake pads...no more rattle.

The rubber backing on the pads which keeps them from rattling had worn out and was letting them flop around when we hit bumps. Sounds just like what you're experiencing. Every bump or rough road caused them to rattle.

Cheap fix and certainly worth checking...

We have a 2008 Uplander and we had the same issue. We ended up having the **rack and pin BUSHINGS ONLY** replaced. Got them on ebay for about $60.00. Hope this helps.

My 09 uplander had a similar problem when it had 60 000 to 70 000 km on it. similar symptoms to yours, but mine also made noise when you were at a standstill and turned the steering wheel from side to side, like a quarter turn or less in both directions, you would hear like tick/knocking noise. it turned out to be the intermediate shaft and the linkages. I had an extended warranty that covered it.

Where did you replace those (what shop I mean , in case you haven't done it yourself, which I will NOT do)?
