Default need to change coolant crossover gaskets

Has anyone done this? have the tools. know its not the easiest thing to do. what to watch out for? dont have a manual. when reassembling do you use loctite on the bolts?

Haven't done it, but it won't be an easy job. Have to make sure the surfaces are nice and clean of course. Yeah, I use blue loctite on everything, same as I do with dielectric grease on electrical parts, wiring and plugs. Don't quote me on this but I think the torque is 18 foot pounds. Might not hurt to use a bit of Neversieze inside the flanges too.

I know of no crossover pipe for the coolant system on the 3.5 liter mill. This information is for the exhaust crossover pipe on your 2005 Uplander 3.5 liter. If so then you would use neversieze on the nuts and bolt flanges to prevent rust and get a good torque on the parts. Loctite will not not work on that hot of an exhaust component. That's one job you don't want to do it over again on, from what I can see.
