I want to add a Sirius connection to the radio, anyone have suggestions on removing the radio or the console area.

I tried to do this last month to find our missing cell phone and couldn't figure it out.

Also, how do you get the cup holder from below the radio out? I wish it had a take out rubber boot like the older ones.

For getting the center console out start at the bottom. On my 08 i have just a empty shelf i grabbed both sides and gently pryed and pulled off. Watch out for the acc outlet to not to pull on the wires unplug that and then from under you can get the cup holder. from there my gess would be that the plastic/ wood trim would need to come off with a plastic trim stik after that maybe look for screws to take the rest off or the radio unit might be able to be removed from there. I've done enough interior work to figure out you just don't know till you do.

 

Any updates on this? I'm thinking about doing the same thing on my 06 LT. The only thing I've noticed that will be a problem is my 12v outlet is way in back by the last row of seats. Who the HELL designs this crap?

 

Like the Evil guy said, the lower console just snaps in basically. Grab it on each side and pull straight out. I actually noticed after pulling mine that my Cargo model has 2 12v connectors even though only one is installed in my lower front console...
