I recently acquired a 2008 Uplander for cheap with transmission issues. Hoping it was the pressure vales. It does nothing in drive, but if I put it in low1 or low2 it will pull itself. Son in law thinks it's probably a transmission control module, whatever that is. But really wanting to get this one going, any help appreciated.
I have a 2007 Chevrolet Upland which I just bought, after few days the transmission stopped working normal. When the car is stopped it only moves if I put it in the first gear and not in D. In D, RPM goes up but the car doesn’t move at all. The transmission fluid and filter has been changed and so the spark plugs, engine oil and filter. The serpentine belt also broke and so the tensioner and so the AC compressor, they have all been replaced also. I’m homeless and and living on very little money and can’t afford to pay a mechanic at a shop to fix my car. A sales man from Oreillys told us that the transmission shift solenoid for first and second gear has to be replaced. I bought the solenoid but my friend from the shelter can’t find the old solenoid in the transmission. See pictures please. Where is it located?
The engine doesn’t get overheated and the transmission doesn’t make any noise while driving it.
