I recently bought a 2003 AWD WB Venture. The dash lights for the AWD and ABS are both on and indicate that both systems have been disabled. To try to find out what Diagnotic Trouble Codes are in memory I hooked up two different scanners to bring up the codes. Neither scanner would return a code. The ALDL hookup is not providing power to the scanners. My question is, Is there an inline fuse or fuse in the harness fuse block that integrates with the ALDL connector . Or, does all power to the ALDL hook up come from the vans on board ECM/BCM? I don't have a wiring schematic for the van yet. On the other hand, can you still pull codes the old fashion way by jumping a wire from one pin to another in the ALDL plug in? Trying to find out if the ABS internal wiring on one or more wheel hubs has gone bad.
