Hello everyone! I am new here, just picked up a 2001 Venture base model relatively cheap about a month ago. Got lucky I guess, it needed front brakes, and a bit of rocker panel repair for safety. Passed E test (I'm in central Ontario) no problem. Interior is very good, 225000kms on it. Seems to have been well looked after. Had a strut crap out about a week after I got on the road, then the tranny acted up. This was clearly because of my abuse. I tromped it going out of a parking lot and actually squealed the tires! -Had the hard shifting/ whining symptom. -Promptly changed the trans fluid and filter; no problem since. So far I am happy with the van, compared to the 98 Trans Sport it replaced. Just wanted to say hi and stuff, looking forward to reading and contributing here, hopefully I won't need too much help with van troubles.
