Radio won't turn off when door opens

Hi, My 2005 Chevy venture radio won't turn off when driver door opens. does anybody had this problem before and how do you fix it?

Does the overhead light go on when the door is open, to show that the switch at least is working?

On my son's 03 Blazer it was a bad door switch.
