2006 Equinox, floorboards soaking wet

2006 Equinox
I bought a used 2006 Equinox about 3 years ago. My wife used it mostly & always complained about some leaking but now it has become a sick joke! After a heavy rain the passenger side floorboard is puddled with water, sometimes an inch deep!
I figured it was due to the sunroof (which I NEVER use). So I started putting a tarp over the sunroof and covered the entire front windshield (I don't have a garage). Still the water puddles up and I have to shovel it out repeatedly.
It's not in warranty & of course I had no idea about this issue when I bought it. But I will probably not buy another Chevy after this experience.
