This wild 1948 Chevy pickup can truly do it all, whether that be tear up the track or bring home car show trophies.

It’s no secret that trucks have come a long way from the simple, rugged, workhorses that they began life as. These days, we can head over to our local dealer and buy trucks that have more amenities than many luxury vehicles, with loads of power, to boot. But this 1948 Chevy pickup is a far cry from the rough-riding, underpowered machine that it once was, thanks to a complete and total rebuild completed by the masterful custom car builders at Ringbrothers.

Ringbrothers has developed a stellar reputation in the automotive enthusiast world for its many amazing builds, which push the proverbial envelope in terms of style, quality, and uniqueness. All of those characteristics certainly apply to this 1948 Chevy pickup, which started out life as a Loadmaster model, but now looks more like an old school street rod than anything else. This wasn’t an easy process, however – Ringbrothers spent years and a total of 2,000 hours of design and 10,000 hours of labor to bring this wild creation to life.

That work seems well worth the investment, however, because this vintage pickup is one of the most amazing builds of any kind that we’ve ever laid eyes on. Ringbrothers spent a considerable time on the way it looks, chopping and sectioning the body, adding a host of custom carbon fiber components, and then covering the whole thing in Mythic Battle Green paint. Those panels are mated to a custom chassis featuring a fully independent cantilever suspension, Swift springs, custom Öhlins TTX shocks, and Brembo GTS M6 disc brakes with six-piston calipers.

Since this beauty was built to go racing as well as win show trophies, Ringbrothers has two different sets of wheels and tires available, as its Michelin Pilot Sports can be swapped out for Goodyear Racing Eagle G-19s when it hits the track. But the heart of this beast is what really steals the show – a Goodwin Competition-built 510 cubic-inch LSX V8 that churns out 1,000 horsepower thanks to upgrades including Kinsler LS-Sprint eight-stack injection, custom stainless steel headers, and a titanium side exhaust, which flows to the wheels via a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission.

The result is an old pickup that can truly do it all – tear up whatever type of track you want to take it to, turn heads everywhere it goes, and win trophies at car shows in the process. Of course, we imagine that it cost a small fortune to build, but can you really put a price on perfection?
