This 1962 Corvette Could Go for as Much as $2.75 Million
There’s no mistaking the value of this Corvette. That’s why it’s expected to fetch anywhere between $2 million and $2.75 million when it goes on the block at RM Auctions.
The legendary racing 1962 Corvette is equipped with a 327 cubic-inch, 360-hp fuel-injected engine and the RPO 687 package that features a huge 37-gallon fuel tank, heavy-duty brakes, a reworked suspension with special rear shocks, additional air scoops, and a quicker steering ratio.
It’s known as the Gulf Oil Corvette and it earned more than a few racing awards in its day before being converted into a street-legal model.
In fact, the lowest position it ever saw in racing was number two, earning a total of 12 wins around the U.S., which helped it earn an induction into the Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame in 2004.
