1979 Chevy C10: Starting Over with a Sweet Square Body

Giving up on an old truck isn’t easy. But when you score a clean, classic Chevy C10, it helps smooth that transition.

Chances are, you’ve owned more than one vehicle in your life. Typically, we drive our trucks until they wear out or we just can’t resist the cat calls of a new one. Whether you’re persuaded to make that change for reliability, luxury, or practical reasons, it’s a change we make more often than not. Now, we’re not sure what caused Reddit user HoldentC to move on from his sweet ’62 GMC pickup and into a 1979 Chevy C10. But it’s hard to knock either choice, really.

All we know is the OP posted a pic of his “new” square body with the cryptic title “My new 1979 C10 RIP ‘62 3/4 Ton.” Thus, we’re afraid the older pickup is no long with us. But even though following up that sweet ride was a tough task, we’d say he pulled it off. Obviously, we think that square bodies are some of the coolest trucks ever made. And this one is most certainly cool.

The clean white pickup sits a little lower than stock, so we’re guessing it sports some lowering springs underneath. But you won’t find any massive modern wheels tucked underneath those attractive fenders. Just a set of classic five stars wrapped in white-letter BF Goodrich rubber. It’s one of those combos that just never goes out of style.

Obviously, losing an awesome classic is a sad ordeal. But it’s safe to say the OP bounced back quite nicely. He stepped right into a truck that doesn’t need a single thing, in our opinion. This clean white Chevy C10 looks primed to serve many years in whatever role the new owner sees fit!
