An in-depth tour of one of the most high-end, feature-packed trucks on sale today.

This video from DeLo Enterprises gets us up close and personal with one of the most impressive trucks on sale today, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 LTZ Z71. This thing is positively loaded with options, and our host, Luciano DeLorenzo of DeLo Enterprises covers them all in great detail.

Of course, the first thing we absolutely have to talk about is that grille. It’s enormous, but we’ve gotten used to it. In fact, we’d say that we like it. In LTZ trim, there’s plenty of chrome and detailing not seen on the lower trim levels. It really dresses up that new front end.

Of course, being a diesel, there’s also a separate air intake on the hood, also trimmed with chrome. It’s not like something you’d see on a muscle car, but it’s subtle and cool-looking. We also appreciate the integrated fender flares and mud guards.

Another cool exterior detail is passive entry on all four doors. That means that if you need to get something out of, say, the rear passenger-side seat, you don’t have to take they key out of your pocket, and you only have to open one door.

There’s also steps on the bedside right behind the cab, new for 2020. The steps integrated into the rear bumper are enlarged for 2020 to accommodate a work boot.

Another useful change for 2020 is the DEF fill location of diesel models. Now, instead of having to pop the hood, it’s located right next to the fuel filler neck. For models fitted with the engine block heater, the plug is now integrated into the bumper, hidden behind a small cover.

Inside, the 2020 Silverado 2500 LTZ is a far cry from your average work truck. Describing the upper door trim, DeLorenzo says “It’s not plastic, it feels almost like a rubbery leather. It is very soft and nice to the touch.”

That sets the tone for the rest of the interior, which is filled with quality materials and high-tech features. The power folding tow mirrors can be extended at the push of a button from the comfort of the leather driver’s seat.

In addition to the standard instrumentation, the gauge cluster includes a large LCD screen with a customizable display. There’s also a head-up display projected onto the windshield.

There is also, of course, an impressive touchscreen to handle infotainment duties, as well. DeLorenzo’s verdict is “Awesome redesign – way more responsive than it’s previously been in the older generation of trucks.”

For those who use their trucks for towing, there is a ton of exciting technology packed into this Silverado. Aside from the previously mentioned power folding tow mirrors, there’s a 360 degree camera, a camera that lets you “see through” your trailer (if your trailer is so equipped), and various infotainment features designed to optimize your towing experience.

The interior is flat-out incredible, and nothing like we’ve seen in a truck before. The combination of tech, features, and materials make this truck a cut above everything else out there. DeLorenzo says it best, saying simply “The trim in this vehicle is very, very classy.”

Flipping the switch on the bottom of the rearview mirror turns on the camera mounted in the third brake light, fully adjustable for brightness and angle. Flip the switch again, and it turns back into a regular mirror. Way cool.

There’s a ton of legroom for rear seat passengers, and in-cab storage is plentiful. There’s even storage compartments integrated into the seatbacks themselves. The rubber floor mats are designed to channel spills out of the vehicle.

The power tailgate can be activated via the keyfob, granting access to a positively cavernous bed. There’s already a factory-applied spray-in bedliner, and tons of tie-down points. There’s also LED bed lighting and a 120 volt power outlet. Closing the tailgate is power assisted – just begin lifting the tailgate and it takes itselfup the rest of the way.

All of this technology and luxury doesn’t come cheap, of course. This particular truck stickers at a whopping $73,750. Explaining the big blank spot on the window sticker, DeLorenzo points out “Because this is a heavy duty vehicle, it is not applicable to EPA fuel economy requirements.”

DeLorenzo closes out the video by thanking the dealership, Champion Chevrolet, and reminding buyers to shop smart and look for deals and incentives.
