Silverado HD

The Silverado HD receives mostly minor updates for 2025 with the notable exception of the new Silverado HD Trail Boss.

Chevrolet gave us a significantly refreshed Silverado HD for the 2024 model year. So, as you would expect, changes for 2025 are more modest. However, that does not mean there is not big Silverado HD news for 2025. There is a new addition to the Trail Boss family for 2025. It is the Silverado HD Trail Boss. It is the first time that the Trail Boss goodies are offered on the Silverado HD LT and LTZ trims. Previously the Trail Boss was only offered on the Colorado and the Silverado 1500.

The Trail Boss trim adds some impressive features on top of the already well-equipped Silverado HD LT and LTZ. Highlights include the Z71 shocks and suspension package. Unique 20-inch black wheels come wrapped with off-road tires. Continuing with the blacked-out theme are front and rear bumpers, trim and badges. Finishing up the look are Trail Boss bed decals and red recovery hooks. The 6.6L gasoline V8 engine making 470 horsepower is standard. As an option you can select the 6.6L Duramax Diesel with 407 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Both engines send their power through a ten-speed Allison automatic transmission. The 2025 Silverado HD and Silverado HD Trail Boss will be available this summer. Pricing will be announced closer to the start of production.

2025 Silverado HD Updates

High Country

The biggest news is the Trail Boss package, but Chevrolet did announce some other changes for the 2025 Silverado HD. Front and rear Park Assist is available for WT, Custom and LT trims. It is standard on the HD ZR2. The High Country trim will get Adaptive Cruise Control as standard equipment in 2025. A Black-Out Package will be available for the HD Custom trim. And the HD Midnight Edition will get newly designed 20-inch wheels.
