2019 Chevrolet 1500 RST Concept

Adorned in carbon fiber and silver metallic paint, 2019 Silverado 1500 RST Street Concept showcases what the RST has to offer.

We’re coming to you live once again from the 2018 SEMA Show, where the only things hotter than the desert sun are the amazing trucks and SUVs gathered in Sin City.

And while the sun isn’t as oppressive in fall as it was a few months ago, we needed a preview of the winter to come. Thus, this 2019 Silverado 1500 RST Street Concept in Silver Ice Metallic at the Chevrolet Performance booth.

We all know the Silverado RST has plenty of performance on tap, thanks to the standard 2.7-liter turbo-four good for 310 horses and 340 lb-ft of torque (as well as the optional 5.3-liter EcoTec V8 with 355 horses and 383 lb-ft of torque) paired with an eight-speed automatic. This RST Street Concept, though, is a bit special than most.

For starters, there are the matte black inserts on the front fenders and the carbon fiber grille bar, the latter normally body color with black inserts. The suspension is lowered, as well, providing the Silverado RST Street Concept with plenty of street-fighting stance.

The carbon fiber treatment continues from the grille bar. The sideview mirrors have a top cap of darkly woven awesomeness, as do the steering wheel, center dash (augmented with gray leather), and door trim. And if you look close enough at the tailgate, the ‘Chevrolet’ name is written in carbon fiber.

We don’t know if any of these carbon fiber bits or the suspension lowering kit will be available from Chevrolet Performance, but we do know this Silverado RST Street Concept is one cool truck.
