C2 Corvette SEMA 2018

SEMA proves that the Corvette aftermarket is still going strong. Real strong.

Not that it should surprise anybody, but the iconic Corvette is everywhere to be found at SEMA 2018. We’ve been in Las Vegas live all week, bringing you the most awesome rides we can find. And unsurprisingly, many of them are ‘Vettes. The latest killer display of fiberglass cars comes to you from exhaust manufacturer Borla. Who had not one, but two awesome Corvettes for us to drool over.

The first was a car that needs no introduction. If you’re into Formula Drift, that is. Pro drifter Matt Field built this killer C6 Corvette with his own hands, doing much of the fabrication on the 1,000+ hp beast. Unfortunately, after campaigning it successfully for a while, he recently had a run in with a wall during practice. Field and his car suffered a few injuries, but nothing major.

Despite missing some panels, the drift Corvette still looked killer set up in Borla’s booth. And hey, it even gives you a better look at Field’s amazing work.

Joining the Corvette racer was an animal of a totally different kind. This stunning C2 restomod wears blue paint as deep as the ocean, giving it an understated but striking appearance. It looked absolutely fantastic under SEMA’s bright lights. And unsurprisingly, it drew such huge crowds that we had a hard time grabbing pictures of it.

Yes, the Corvette aftermarket is obviously alive and kicking. And we’re guessing that these aren’t the last two ‘Vettes we’ll come across. So stay tuned, because we’re coming to you live from SEMA all week long!
