Restored 1972 Chevy C10 Pickup is a Gateway Into Classics

Mecum Auctions is known for offering some pristine examples of antique vehicles, and this gorgeous 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup is no different. The vehicle, which is currently set to cross the block later this month at the company’s Indianapolis auction, will surely get multiple bids from interested buyers looking to go back in time.
The C10 truck, which we spotted on Mecum Auction’s website, is restored and has a binder full of restoration photos, which in itself makes it a form of time travel. The truck, as the listing claims, is believed to have only 120,000 miles on it, which adds up to approximately 2,666 miles a year.
Under the hood lies a 350 cu.in. V8 engine and an unspecified automatic transmission, which, as the listing claims, is the original drivetrain. The owners must not have beat on the truck a lot for it to still boast the same drivetrain as when it came new. The exhaust system looks like it’s been changed out for something that breathes a little easier, which may also make the V8 engine sound better.
The exterior, which looks like it’s been through a recent repaint, features an alternating and totally awesome red and white paint scheme that modern trucks just don’t have. The outside also has some sprinkles of chrome on the wheels; front and rear bumper; and trim pieces.
The vehicle looks to be in outstanding condition. The underbody shots reveal little wear and tear, while the interior looks to have seats that are in pristine condition.
