It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…It’s a %$#@! Chevy Truck! (Video)

Jump Champs put Chevrolet trucks to work and the results are incredible — and airborne!

Off-road racing is exciting, action-packed and incredibly fun. There isn’t much we enjoy more than watching trucks — especially Chevys —  blast across desert trails, climb rocky passes and blast through muddy pits. But the most exciting part of any off-road race are those harrowing jumps. There’s just something about watching a multi-ton truck defy the laws of physics that gets us all amped up.

We’re not alone in feeling that way, obviously, because now there’s an entire competition centered around nothing but catching air. Jump Champs is one of those ideas that makes you think, I should have thought of that!, because it’s all about catering to the audience. It doesn’t matter if you’re an automotive noob or an experienced off road pro. No matter who you are, you’re going to be entertained.

Perhaps the best part about Jump Champs is that you can also compete right alongside the pros. There are numerous classes and events that allow basically any kind of truck and driver to participate. There’s a Super Stock class for vehicles with only bolt-on upgrades, and one for UTVs.

Basic safety gear is a must, obviously. Jump Champs requires each driver to have a helmet, closed-toe shoes, seatbelts, an SFI-rated race suit, and a 2.5 pound fire extinguisher. They have the discretion to reject a vehicle, but really only if it’s a junker or unsafe. You can even take a passenger along. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and live out those jumping dreams, whether it be as a participant or a spectator.

Plus, check out the clip below for some very inspiring Jump Champ attempts that defy gravity and prove that Chevy trucks are the best-built and most badass vehicles around!
