Slammed Chevy Silverado Is One Comprehensive Build
In the world of custom truck builds, most land somewhere in the middle. But this Silverado cranks it up to 11.
The real beauty of the custom truck hobby is that aspiring builders can go as far as they’d like down the proverbial rabbit hole. Just want to toss on a set of wheels and give your pickup a different look? No problem. Want to go all out and essentially build an entirely new vehicle from scratch? You can do that, too. And while most builds fall somewhere in the middle of that range, this wild Chevy Silverado, owned by Harvey Gutierrez, lands directly on the latter.
And thankfully, this excellent video from Salinas Photography captures the comprehensiveness of this incredible build completely. It all starts on the outside, where you’ll find a host of body mods. They include shaved bed holes and tailgate, a Goodmark cowl induction hood, and staggered 24/26-inch Raceline Explosion wheels. And as you might imagine, a ton of work went into making this Silverado sit on top/over those massive wheels.

The rear end was narrowed 8 inches to make room for the 12-inch wide rear rubber. An Ekstensive Metal Works air ride suspension, 2-link, tubular control arms, and Belltech lowering spindles round out the impressive package. Inside, you’ll find all the requisite stuff – an ear bleeding stereo, custom leather/suede seats, and plenty of billet. But that’s not where the story ends, as is the case with most custom trucks of this caliber.

No, Guitierrez went the extra mile by swapping in a 6.2-liter V8. The newer LS is stuffed with goodies including a Comp cam, ported and polished heads, long tube headers, and a Corsa 3-inch exhaust. With a stalled 4L60 transmission behind it, this Silverado likely goes just as good as it looks. And that, friends, is what moves the needle and makes this gorgeous ride a notch above your average show truck build!
