Specialty Vehicle Engineering Resurrects Legendary Car with 800 HP & World-Beating Performance

If you’ve been paying attention over here at Chevrolet Forum, you certainly remember the unveiling of the insane 2017 Yenko Corvette. But Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) didn’t just stop there. The longtime builder of performance vehicles has also produced an all-new version of a legendary nameplate – the Yenko Camaro. And like the Corvette, it too produces an astounding 800 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque.

That world-beating power comes from a 416 cubic inch, aluminum block LT-1. With forged internals, ported and polished heads, and the cherry on top — a “custom” supercharger. The best part? All that power comes with a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty. For the engine, supercharger, and “non-powertrain” components.

And lest you forget what you’re driving, SVE reminds you at ever corner. Yenko and “800 HP” badges are everywhere, from the engine bay to the brake calipers to the floor mats. Original looking sYc hood stripes and Yenko S/C side graphics are a nice throwback to past Yenkos. As are the old school five spoke wheels. But unlike a 60’s Yenko Camaro, this one uses massive Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar Tires.

The retro theme doesn’t end there, of course. Available colors include Hugger Orange along with more contemporary hues. The interior is done up in hounds tooth, just like Camaro’s of lore. And this is no knockoff – SVE enjoys exclusive license of the Yenko name. We’d say they’re paying a satisfactory homage to it so far.

The only bad news about the 2017 Yenko Camaro is its exclusivity — only 50 will be built. Those lucky few have their choice of base: 1SS, 2SS, couple or convertible. It’s also available with a manual or automatic transmission. One thing’s for sure, however. No matter what options you go with, the end result is a world beating, streetable beast of a Camaro.
