This Ford Family Is All About Safety First!

Ford Truck Fail

You have to at least give this Ford truck-owning family credit for using child seats — even if they aren’t strapped in properly!

Chevy truck drivers like to think of themselves as a more intelligent group of folks. After all, buying and driving a superior product makes you smarter than the average human, right? And if this picture of a Ford truck-driving family we saw over at the Daily Mail is any indication, it sure looks that way. Heck, this severe parenting fail makes us look like a bunch of Albert Einstein-level geniuses compared to some Ford truck owners.

The pic is part of a gallery posted at one of our favorite time-waster websites, eBaum’s World, and titled simply “18 People Who Should Probably Take a Parenting Class.” But to be quite frank, we’re not so sure even that would help. But hey, at least they’ve got their kids sitting in child’s seats, right? Isn’t that what the law requires? No telling if the seats are actually bolted/strapped to anything, however.

Sure, we all took a ride in the back of a truck unabated when we were kids. But that was before traffic accidents and deaths shot through the roof. These days, we ride around in trucks that envelop us in what is essentially a giant cocoon of air bags. With all sorts of high-tech safety equipment designed to avoid the inevitable. But even all of that can’t compensate for a lack of brain cells.

Funny, dangerous, irresponsible – this Ford truck family demonstrates all of the above. But for us Chevy fans, it’s just another feather in our cap. Because none of you would ever do such a crazy thing, would you? And even if you do decide to give the kids a ride in the bed, let’s just keep it off the freeway, shall we?
