Default 93 Chevy k1500 stalls

I have a 93 k1500 with the 5.7 l v8, when the engine is cold i can accelerate but after I stop and accelerate again the engine dies, I have new fuel filter iac, cleaned the iac but this still happens idk what else to check, when put in drive the engine drops to around 300 rpm idk if that’s normal or not. When the engine gets warm the truck doesn’t stall or have really any bad acceleration the engine doesn’t die when it’s warm

I'd put a scanner on it and a fuel pressure gauge. The thing is you have OBD I. Most auto stores don't have those to run a check for you. Old dudes like me have the old OBD I scanners for a Chevy. Might find an independent tech to do it too. If it has good fire, I'd be checking out the fuel system and the injectors.

+1 on fuel pressure check
you can check codes with jumper and counting flashes. https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/s...php?tid/273660
