Default 04 Tahoe has a mind of its own ??..

This is driving me crazy!

Doors lock sporadically on their own, key in/key out (doesn't matter).

Sometimes the radio and dome lights stay on after exiting vehicle......other times it shuts off when you open the door like it's supposed to.

sometimes the dome lights fail to come on when door is opened. (Dome override switch in the out position)

Sometimes the headlights stay on 20-30 minutes after shutting the vehicle off.....Other times they shut off after a minute or less.
I have been locked out of this Tahoe about a dozen times. 3 of which while it was running.

The "ding-ding-ding" when key is in and door is opened..... sometimes yes/sometimes no.

WTF is wrong with this thing ????.!!!! I have a wife, 3 daughters, and a bass boat.... yet the most fickle thing in my life is this Tahoe....What is wrong with this picture? 😂

Not necessarily. Pull off kick panels by your feet and you should find a connector that you can unplug. I'm sure you can get the rubber boot off with a screwdriver. Take a close look at the wires inside, right where the door bends. You might see something right away. Run each wire through your fingertips for abnormalities. Worst case you have to pull out a meter or test light.
