2002 GMC Sierra 5.3 wont run (Gas issue)?
2002 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 4wd with 239,000 miles on regular maintenance.
Hey guys just a question for anyone who possibly knows or has gone through this before.
First of all My gas gauge has never worked but always drove me back and fourth where I needed to go.
But anyways I was driving and when I stopped at a red light it started idiling rough(almost like it ran out of gas) And then to a stall. Wouldn’t fire back up after that.
Got it pushed to a gas station to top it off and it took 8 gallons. Tried firing and nothing.
Looked under it and noticed some wet lines so I tried touching it to clean it and see where the leak was at and it started spraying. So I bought some rubber line and clamps and did all three of the gas lines in the rusted section to make them clean and solid.
Replaced the fuel filter now everytime I start it, it will idle ruff and stall or idle fine for a second and start to choke itself out untill the motor falls flat on its face and shakes like no other. I’m at a stand still and need it for work but work some wack hours to work on it. Replace the fuel pump?
