2006 1500 TPS and low power

2006 1500 TPS and low power
Helping a friend out. He has the whole reduced power thing going on. We went to replace the TPS and it is not on drivers side of throttle body and it is not on the other side either. All that is in there is the gears...so, is it located within the throttle body? Replace entire throttle body? My 2009 was easy but this is a different setup. Thanks in advance.
