Default 2006 chevy silverado tire size

MY truck currently has 26570r17's I need new tires I got a really good deal on a set of 255/65r/17's is it ok to switch to these??

that's an inch and a half of difference in height or 5% which is a fair bit.
Speedo/odo will be off. So will transmission shift points, ABS, traction control, stopping distance, and highway fuel economy
Sell them for profit and get the correct tires.

Default 265/70/17 switch to 265/65/17??

Hey guys I need new tires on my 2006 silverado I have 265/70/17's got a good deal on some good used tires 265/65/17's is this ok? Any problems? Thank you

70 and 65 profile are pretty close. The difference probably won't be noticeable, but is it that hard to find the correct tire?

When you find a good deal for a decent set of used tires for $100 why spend a grand on new ones??

I never buy used tires. You don't know if they've been damaged or have tread separation or vibration or whatever. Not worth it. Especially if they're the wrong size.

They don't cost a grand. You can get a set of four at Walmart for $500.
