I have a 2005 Silverado crew cab short bed lly duramax. My body lines don’t match up and it’s off by about an inch or two and was wondering if any of you on here could offer some solutions. I heard cab mounts go bad but it seems to be too big of a miss match between the lines to be cab mounts.if any of y’all have had this problem please throw some ideas.
The rockers have just been replaced but the lines are the same as before they were replaced
the Bed on the truck might not be the original. I only say that because there is green paint on the underside of the bed and the truck is white. Would the bed being from a different truck be the problem. There is also brackets for a fifth wheel if that helps.

It’s possible it’s from a different truck.
I wouldn’t expect the 5th wheel to be the reason for the difference - unless the installer removed the bed for the install and had to shim it up to clear the 5th wheel mounting plate; or they were doing heavy reinforcement for some reason. I’ve installed some 5th wheels on customer trucks and they’re designed to bolt in around existing framework. The only reason for drilling is the holes in the bed floor where bolts and safety catches pass through.
I just looked for anything with the fifth wheel blocking the bed from making contact with the frame and from what I saw the bed in flush with the frame so I think it has to be a different bed put on that doesn’t match up right
