Express steering wheel cover question
I really like the factory steering wheel cover on my 2012 Express but it's badly deteriorated and I'd like to replace it.
There are countless aftermarket covers available, can anyone weigh-in on one paticular item that they are very happy with?
I THINK I'd like to keep it similar to the stock one but open to change if others have discovered the change to be better.
Preparing to spend the moth of June exploring the NW.
Thanks!

I started using the stitch-on leather covers a while ago. They are inexpensive, they look, and feel, great. Some Lexol once in a while and they last for years.
Let me see if I can find a link for you.
It started because I had a 2005 GMC 1500 and the steering wheel started to get gummy in damp (or sweaty) weather - where the gloss coating had worn through - my hands would get black just driving.. I forget now but a new wheel was over a hundred I think.
I like the leather covers that are stitch-on-stitch - not stitch through leather. And smooth - not perforated - leather.
OK: the damned links are too long - copy this into an Amazon search:
Belinous Leather Steering Wheel Cover Lace Up, Stitch on Steering Wheel Wrap, Universal Fit 13-20 Inch Car Truck Pickup Boat, A Whole Piece of Cowhide, DIY w/Needle Thread (Size M4,
That is the stitch-through leather version - which is tedious to install.
Amazon search:
MLEI Top Genuine Leather Steering Wheel Cover with Anti-Slip Design, Soft Padding, Universal 15 Inch Auto Car Steering Wheel Stitch on Wrap
This is the stitch-on-thread type - although perforated leather.
Use two needles and it's like lacing up your boots as you pull it tight.
I imagine there are a million vendors but I got all mine from Amazon - because the returns are so easy. <g>

That said, if you've got more money than time, a new leather steering wheel with audio control is $380. GM GENUINE 25849482
But changing the steering wheel will take way for time than stiching / lacing on a nice leather cover. <g>
Did you mean to say: "if you have got more money and more time" <g>
