5.3 Vortech continues to serve well at 210,000 miles. Intend to keep and restore this 2000 model 4x4 Z71. In its next motor, other than tuning, can I put in a Chevy crate motor rated for slightly more HP and somehow still pass smog when required during registration renewal? Other hop up suggestions welcome (gotta pass smog somehow). Not looking for any major jump in output, maybe to 350 or 400 HP instead of my stock rating. Thanks.
