Default Headliner recomendations

Reading Amazon reviews, is very hit or miss. Some say the particular material wont hold the glue, others the foam separates. Anyone here recommend a particular brand they used?

Anytime I needed a headliner, I called one of the mobile guys that come to your house and replace the headliner. Haven't had any problems with their work.

I used this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174460161630?var=473662196427
I got some 3M spray glue and followed directions. It worked pretty well. It was a bit cooler outside when I did it last fall, so I didn't get a perfect application, as in some spots are not fully contacted, but 99% of it is in place and it otherwise looks great. I even used this material to redo my visors as well as my ceiling-mounted center console (ext cab).

My 2006 Silverado had a dropped headliner. One day it was hitting my head, and I just started pulling, using my pocket knife to cut it around the mirror, light, pillars and visor mounts. The entire foam layer is still on the rigid overhead board.

So does the new fabric have that foam attached? If you buy it, do you need to scrape off all that old foam that is remaining after the fabric detached?

My 1996 has the same issue, except I have not pulled it down, and on the 1996, if you run your finger across the foam on the board overhead, it sheds debris/dust on you. The 2006 is not doing that - its foam feels smooth and pliant still.

Thats mine before i lost it and tore it all down. Now, if i touch the headliner, "snow" rains down on me.

My issue is the reviews. I always go straight to the 1 stars. If its "arrived late, or damaged" its not very helpful, but it may still be a good product. However I see a bunch of "separates from foam backing, creased, stained, end of run joins" in the 1 stars.

2 hrs to this point. Its really cheaply made. Basically two fiberglass sheets and a thin piece of foam in the middle is what this thing is made of.

We're done lol. I think this is gonna hold up well. I wasted the whole can of glue and made sure it was stuck on there.
