08 4.3 work truck "Reduced Engine Power"
Hi everyone,
I have a 2008 Silverado 1500 4.3 Work Truck with a recurring "reduced engine power" issue. I bought the truck with a rough idle and drove it home with no issues. I replaced the throttle body with a new oem AC Delco replacement and the truck started up and ran perfectly. I drove it around the block with no issues and then shut it off. A few minutes later I started it back up and it had a check engine light and reduced engine power message. After that I had a programmer come out and do a throttle body relearn and clear all the codes. Again, the truck drove around the block perfectly, but when I pulled into the driveway and led the truck idle, all the warning lights came back on and the truck would barely run. I let the truck sit for a few days, and when I started it up again, I had no check engine light and no reduced engine power and the truck ran great. I drove it about 20 miles with no issues. When I came back, I shut it off and a few minutes later I started it back up and all the lights came on and it would barely run again. Anybody ever have a similar issue?
