Default 2008 Silverado 4.3 work truck broken hose? Engine lights

My 2008 Silverado 4.3 work truck which ran smooth as can be, which is used for a hay truck & still very much needed is having a problem.

Live in very rural South Tennessee hills, no plows, no salt trucks & no snow (usually) about a month ago we got some ice & my daughter slid down the hill into the ditch & bottomed out.

After we yanked it out, engine lights came on..this truck is running like crap. When you drive it, only when you first start it which starts fine, idles down our gravel road fine, but once out on the main road it spits & pops a couple times , like a quiet back fire from down below the truck , a couple pops & engine light then blinks. Had codes ran & it came back to

Evap canister

Evap purge valve

So I assumed when the truck bottomed out the evap can had a broken line or connection.

I checked them & they are fine. Even did a test I saw.on youtube with compressed air on evap can itself & didn't get blockage or debris. Returned connectors they are secured properly.

While climbing out from under the truck, my eyes caught something hanging, that is some sort of hose, vacuum I'm guessing, that has been broken. It's very very dirty so not even sure if it's vacuum, or when it broke. But it is supposed to be hooked to something. For the life of me I can't find where this hose goes or even another severed end. If it will return the truck to running smoothly I would like to get it fixed.

I took pictures to come here for help. The broken hose is above the transmission hanging down where it meets the drive shaft. That's up towards the front of the truck compared to where the evap canister is. I don't see any place on the canister where a missing hose.goes.

Sure need this one fixed it's the hay wagon, now the girls don't want to drive it Thanks to anyone that has any ideas.

Looks like a transmission vent to me. See where it leads. Make sure it isn't blocked, but I don't think it's causing your problems.

I would start with cleaning the throttle body and inspecting the wires. Then smoke testing the EVAP system for leaks.
