so i have a 2010 it has about 80k on it and weve had the truck for over a year now. never noticed it consuming oil but today i drove it to work (norm wife drives it). i got on it getting onto the hwy, and the rpms built up the trans went to shift and i noticed a red light flash on the dash but it happened so quick i didnt catch it till it went to shift again and it was the oil light. got up to speed (70-75) and the oil light came on and stayed on alarm went off telling me to shut the engine down. pulled over and checked the engine oil (didnt have time to let it sit) and i didnt see any on the stick so i added one qt. started it up and it was ok till i went to move then the alarm went off again, added another qt and the light stayed off. after work i check the oil and its still pretty low and might need 1 qt maybe 2. i know the afm can cause oil consumption but would think if it was 2 qts low it should of set off an alarm to check the engine oil level. is there anywhere the oil could have went when i floored it or is it because of the AFM?
