I'm considering replacing the factory stereo in my 2011 Silverado LT Crew Cab with an aftermarket one. I'd like to still be able to use the steering wheel controls but from looking online a $200 module is required. Is there a way to do it without the module? I don't care about keeping the Satellite radio but hate to lose the steering wheel controls.

 

I went on eBay and got a 9” touch screen android radio that has a plug and play wire harness. It retained all the factory features too and it was only $300 total
