Hi folks,
New guy around here. My name is Pete, I live just outside of Denver. I'm a mechanic but I never work on Chevys. I have a friend with one, who is looking for a little help. 2007 2500 pickup. He just replaced the ignition switch, and the truck now only starts with a screwdriver on the starter terminals. He's got the lock light on the dash.I believe that's the security system? That's probably why it won't start with the key? Does anything have to be reprogrammed when you replace the ignition switch on those trucks?
