Sierra 1500 Fuel Issues
Hello,
I have an 07 Sierra 1500 with the 4.8L, currently at 180K miles and has been a good reliable vehicle so far. I was driving down the highway at normal speed the other day when the engine just shut off, luckily got it to the shoulder without incident, however it would crank but not start. Plugged in my code reader and had a p069e and p025a, let truck sit about 10 minutes and started and could drive it about a half mile before the fuel pump shut off again, got it to my shop and hooked a pressure gauge up and the fuel pump is definitely shutting off. If I let the truck sit for a few hours it will start and run about 10 miles before it shuts off, the longer it sits the longer it will run. I did pull the FPCM out to check for mouisture and didn't see any signs of contamination and no signs of the plug wiring being damaged or getting hot. I have ordered a new module which is what I see is generally the cause of this code, however it really acts like something is getting hot, is it possible the pump motor is heating up and causing the module fault? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
