2014 Silverado AC Problems Already?
Hi my name is Gene Carter I have a 2014 Silverado Truck my airconditioner went out on me in Arizona in the heat of 111.I had to drive back to Los Angeles for 4 hours in this heat. and they want to charge me 1,000.00 for my truck is only 2 years old. I know from researching that the aircondistioners are a problem with 2014,2015,2016. So why should I have to pay so much for a product that is defective from GM.??? I have any payed off my car and now I have to put money into this new care.
I have a 2014 z71, love the truck. I've been a Chevy man my whole life. Here lately I've had Ac problems, the air would only be cold after the truck sat over night. Took it to the dealership and the said I had a bad oring they replaced and re-gassed the system. But I'm still not happy if I stop at a red light I only have cool air. If I ain't driving 70 the air is not cold. In park sitting the air is only blowing 75 with it on low. I feel like it should be doing better than that.
I also have a 2014 Chevy Silverado that I purchased in June of 2015. It had about 23k miles on it and in very good condition. About 6 months after I bought it my a/c suddenly stopped blowing cold and was blowing hot. At that point it had a little over 30k miles on and the factory warranty had expired( good thing I bought an extended warranty). Turns out the compressor and a hose went out on it. Warranty took care of it but I was left without a vehicle for a few days and upset that practically a new vehicle was already having issues. Got my truck back and about 2 months later guess what? You guessed, the a/c went out again and another compressor went bad. 3-5 more days without a vehicle. Got it back and about 2 months later my a/c broke again but this time it was an a/c hose that went bad and was not covered under the warranty so I had to pay for parts and labor. Boy am I still pissed off at that and at the piece of crap I bought. Got my truck back and 2 months later guess what? Yes, my a/c started blowing hot again and another a/c hose went bad. This hose is covered under the warranty but yet again another 2 days without a vehicle. And I was told that if it goes out again the warranty will not cover it because its happened too many times.
This is the first Chevy vehicle that I buy and the last. I have always Ford vehicles and have never had as many problems as I have with a Chevy. I like the style of the 2014 Silverado and that's why I bought it, but I must say that I am very disappointed and frustrated with Chevy and their products. I can honestly say that I will never ever buy Chevy ever again.

So I have a 2014 Silverado crewcab. Last year during the height of summer with my kids in the truck my ac broke. I bought this thing new in June of 2014. So I take it in and it was a broken line. I was just a hair over the 36000 miles already in a year but the service guy took care of me. Well here we are now with the temps in the 100's in San Antonio 13 months after the ac was fixed, and it's broke again. I hate this truck. It took 3 dealerships 6 times in 3 different cities to fix my seat. Now this. I can't stand the low quality that Chevy is now putting out. Oh by the way the truck is just over two years old and now has 80 thousand miles so no warranty.

I had the same A/C problem with my 2014 Silverado last month. No cold air. Dealer had the car 2 days and said it was a bad A/C line. Yesterday the A/C failed again. Same problem. When the lease on this truck is up next year do you think I'm going with another Chevy? I doubt it.
Well, here it is summer of 2016 and my 2014 (bought in Dec. 2013) Silverado 1500 just had the air conditioner quit completely - twice within 4 days. Dealership told me it has "alot of miles" at 37K miles (what?) and, of course, it is no longer under warranty. Paid $650 to fix the thing at the Dealership and been trying to get money back from Chevrolet. Contacted Customer Service, wrote a letter to Executive Complaints - all to no avail. Does anyone know how to get my money back for something that should never have happened in the first place?
