Default Shopping a 2022 1500 w/ 5.3L. Engine problems due to AFM?

I've located a low mileage 2022 at a reputable dealer near me. 25K, Chevy Certified thing.

Drives nice, but these new full size trucks are absolute hulks. But, I might need to pull a trailer on a few occasions. Also wanting to locate a Colorado with the 6 cyl before commiting.

At any rate, coworker told me they had lifter issues with their 5.3L motors on the newer Silverados. Tick started at 70k. Blaming it on the Fuel Management computer. Is this a real worry, or getting blow out of proportion?

Thanks for any advice for a newcomer.

Now the salesman has said the 2022 1500 may not even have the AFM chip. Is going to check Mon. Skeptical on my end, but there's always hope.
