Idle issues/ new truck
Since you paid for the warranty on your Chevy, just take it to the dealership. It might be in there a while, but it's their problem, not yours, Best of luck!

I'd put a vacuum gauge on it. Yeah, it's old school, but it often works, If it fluctuates then something is amiss. Could be an air leak, or a spark plug not gapped correctly. Could also be the fuel injection system. I'd go down to a parts store and borrow an OBD II scan-tool.

If you have an android device, purchase this Bluetooth ODBII dongle from Amazon:
and purchase the Torque Pro App from the Google play store ($5.00), and start collecting and recording engine data such as cylinder misfire counts for each cylinder, MAF data, MAP data, RPM data, engine coolant temperature data, oxygen sensors data, fuel pump pressure readings, long and short term fuel trim information, etc., Then look over the data for the problem you describe and when you find something that correlates to the condition, take your truck and the data to the dealer and show them. That will give them extra information to zero in on the cause.
FYI, I just purchased a 2002 Silverado 1500 Crew LT 4WD with the 5.3L engine and that is how I would proceed in a case like this. FYI, I'll be taking physical possession of it in the next couple of days,

After second return from dealership shop in relation to the cold start rough idle issue, and according to the technicians repair order, there is a document #19-NA-044 which states because of DFI system GM has revised the cold start control system to reduce cold start emissions; therefore, it is considered normal for rough idle at cold start up. Thanks to all that responded to my concerns on this tpoic.
Thanks for letting us know! I really appreciate it since I just purchased (or should I say went into debt) a 2022 Silverado with a 5.3L. Much to learn about it considering I came from a 99 Silverado (that was stolen about 2 weeks ago Angry)
