Odometer deception by dealership
I purchased a new Silverado (2022) two weeks ago, sight unseen due to it being "in transit". I signed all of the papers including the Odometer Disclosure. It had 8 miles in the fill in the blank area and I asked the salesman about it and he said that they have to put some number in there. I picked up my truck this past Friday and it had 240 miles on the odometer! I know that they got the truck from another dealership. I now know that instead of paying for a transport, they had a driver bring it to them. With that many miles there should be some kind of comp like a couple free oil changes or something instead of just passing it on to the consumer. I know. I should never have left without addressing it. I have emailed and called them a couple of times inquiring but no one will return my calls, or emails or they say they will get in touch and never do.
I bought the truck from Dan Vaden in Brunswick Ga.

About the only thing you will get is having the warranty start at 240 miles rather than at 0 miles, and it will then expire at 36,240. You purchased a new truck. You did not purchase a new truck that had never been driven before. Think of it like this - it got a shake down voyage before you got it and if they noticed any problems, they fixed it prior to your picking the truck up.
No deception on the part of the dealer that I can see unless they promised you a truck with absolutely zero miles on it. Heck on the 4 brand new vehicles I have purchased, the mileage at delivery was always the mileage on the odometer after my test drive. A couple of the vehicles we test drove already had 200 - 300 miles on them. In my mind, as long as the warranty expired at )36,000 + current odometer reading) miles after the vehicle was sold to me was a bigger concern than the pre-purchase mileage on the odometer.
