Chevy astro van 89. Lost keys
Good morning
Happy New Year to All
lost my ignition key of my 1989 Chevy Astro van (stolen but long story )
the van is worth $300 maybe ...but I use it to commute to work
) I called locksmiths they want $180 
(((( Viva California ))
What are my best option?
Calling chevy dealer for spare keys? ( 89 is old not sure they have keys )
Buying a Ignition cylinder at autozone (looks like a pain to replace a 1989 cylinder )
Inserting screwdriver or old keys ????

There is a way to make a key from your vin number. This guy is in Florida, but he might be able to help you find someone in your area. at least you can get some information from him. The van might only be worth $300 but it is worth more to you if you use it daily.
