Cruise will engage about 50% of the time when I push the set button and once or twice while on cruise it stopped and green indicator was gone from dash.?????

 

You mean to tell me no one has had cruise issues in an avalanche ? If so and you had repaired what was the common issue here. Thanks

 

Your brake switch is starting to go. If it happens again, try making an braking application. Should work after that. If it gets bad, its a $30 part GM. Its located straight up above the brake pedal under the dash

Mine went out, bought one off of amazon and it took maybe 30 minutes to replace. Found a YouTube video before I started. It helped a lot. Works great.
