Default Stabilitrak (3rd time)

2008 Avalanche LTZ 89500 miles.
Stabilitrak for third time since 2013. Rough riding and serviice traction.

Vehicle repaired by Chevy dealer in Kalispell, Montana in June 2013.
Service stabilitrac, replace valve cover,replace all spark plugs and wires, clean injectors. With oil change over $900
Vehicle repaired by Dealer in Puyallup, WA in Aug 2015. Same symptoms.
Replaced all spark plugs, replaced left valve cover gasket . (over $900)

i assume the engine is misfiring and burning oil

the plugs are fouled from oil consumption and the repair was done 2x and still now change?
did they remove the oil pan and install the shield over the afm relief valve in the oil pan?

Vehicle is being repaired as we speak (Apr 18 all day and still at the dealer on April 19). Yes, they are installing the shield this time. Not sure why this was not done in 2013 or 2015. Thanks for the advice and input

they need to clean the oil control rings...that is part of the procedure also.

yes they did clean the rings. removed oil pan-replaced gasket, add deflector. knock on wood -- vehicle runs like new-- we shall see

check your oil level at each refueling untill the first oil change. use the same routine at each check...engine off for 10 minutes to let the oil drain down.

After almost a couple of months--oil is fine, but now check engine light is on. Checked gas cap--engine light still on. Will take the 2008 Avalanche to the dealer in the next day ot two
