hello all. i have a 89 chevy caprice wagon. 307 5.0. i have a wired plug on the top, lower left of my carb. i was wondering what it may be called. i have asked mechanics of all walks and no one can figure it out.

the part that sticks out the car looks like the picture in the link. the blue part. so it may be the idle speed control. i just need to be sure.

That is a Fuel mixture control Solenoid also known as a (feedback solenoid).
If you need more info regarding it let me know.
