I have a cavalier that will not let me take the key out of the ignition it is stuck in the run position. i managed to get the car into neutral and it started just fine then i could shift it into gear and drive if i wanted to but the gauges do not work nothing works the car runs and thats about it. But if i start it while it is in park i cannot shift it out of park at all and still nothing works. I cant get the key out of this ignition either way and the theft light was on for a second but the battery is dieing due to being left in the run position the only way to shut the car off is to pull the fuel pump relay. Then when i start the car again the theft light isnt on so im confused on whats wrong. It acts like its the anti theft system... Any ideas?
