Default Replacing pump to filter fuel line

The standard, hard plastic fuel line is shrunk fit/molded to the fitting at the top of the fuel pump, and runs down to the external filter. Is it possible to replace that line with high pressure rubber hose, using clamps?

Thanks

It should work as long as the hose is rated for fuel.

Thanks. On the off chance that anyone else is considering this, it does in fact work. I used high-pressure 3/8" fuel line with double hose clamps at each end, and used the opportunity to replace the fuel filter also.
