Resetting Check Engine Light?
Last night I felt the performance of my car acting up as I was driving on the highway. Few seconds after I see my check engine light come on and smell something burning. I pull over, pop the hood and see sparks. Turned the car off and saw that it was that the spark plug cable popped out of place. So I popped it back in and the car has been working ok since. The check enging light is still on though.
You guys thing it just needs to be resetted or can there still be something else going on with my car?

'oompa oompa oompa dee do' 'pull the negative cable from the battery and see what it will do'
seriously though pull the negative cable off and let the car sit for about ten minutes or so then hook it back up and see if the light is still there. this should reset it unless something has shorted out.
